Most people in the United States can’t imagine going about their day without a cup of coffee first thing. The reason is that the psychoactive drug found in coffee, caffeine, provides a powerful boost of energy that many adults feel they can’t do without. So while you don’t have to give up your coffee habit entirely, you may want to cut down if you have more than four cups a day.
