Did the New Year bring you to a renewed focus on weight loss resolutions and healthier lifestyle choices? If you’ve been taking better care of yourself this year and making all the right choices, you might already be on the path toward a better you. Even so, perhaps you’re still not seeing real headway in terms of weight loss. If so, the problem may have less to do with lifestyle than with other issues, such as a hormone imbalance. Obesity is a huge epidemic in this country, and more than two-thirds of adults are considered overweight or obese. The cause of obesity may vary—it isn’t the same for everyone. Going through menopause, having a thyroid disorder, or undergoing some other physical change that causes an imbalance to your hormones can greatly impact your weight.
